teaching

current

I'm currently teacing a small Matlab course at MIT. The course is aimed at students with little or no prior experience programming and is very project-based.

past

2010:

I taught a part of the modeling course for graduate student in the Gregorio Millan Institute. Most of the students found probles similar to The Tallest Column, and solved them using a similar "program"

I was teaching Linear Algebra for Aerospace Engineering. This course is in English as are all the other courses in this program. I've been using Gil Strang's book: Introduction to Linear Algebra as the textbook. During the course I've also been giving the students a taste of programming in Matlab, though it's been really only a taste.

"distant" past

I've taught Numerical Analysis (undergrad), and Introduction to Matlab, and have been an instructor to some others: Calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis (graduate), and Math "Laboratory". You can find more information about my past teaching in my old wiki.

advising

I am currently co-advising (with Luis L. Bonilla) a graduate student, Mario Duran Camejo.
